Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 - Paradigna Market -

Martin accessed the store using the command Paradigna had provided: "Paradigna Market."

Paradigna Market

As Martin entered the market, three different creatures were displayed, each with a detailed description from the system.

1. Male Lion

Level: W1

Type: Animal

Strength: 0.9

Agility: 0.5

Endurance: 0.5

Intelligence: 0

Abilities:

Lion Roar: Strength + Speed for 30 seconds (10-minute cooldown)

Price: 200 Paradigna Points

Martin's lips curled into a slight smile. He hadn't expected to see an animal from Earth listed. While a lion might not be considered a monster on his old world, its rarity here likely made it so. Still, he didn't have enough points, so he moved on.

2. Stone Swordsman Statue

Level: W1

Type: Golem/Statue

Strength: 0.7

Agility: 0.1

Endurance: 0.95 (nearly 1.0)

Intelligence: 0

Abilities:

Stone Body (Passive): Resistance against low-level slashing attacks

Price: 500 Paradigna Points

Martin was surprised by the second option. The Paradigna system could even offer something like this as a transformation. While it had low attack and speed compared to the lion, its defense was incredibly high. He wondered about the price difference and asked the system. A few seconds later, the answer came: this creature could evolve to an Expert level with just a bit more defense. Martin smiled, realizing that creatures likely evolved when a stat reached 1.0. This was a valuable piece of information Paradigna hadn't revealed before.

3. Four-Legged Blade

Level: W1

Type: Metallic Life Form

Strength: 0.3

Agility: 0.95

Endurance: 0.5

Intelligence: 0

Abilities:

Whirlwind Blade: +30% speed for 60 seconds (1-minute cooldown)

Price: 1000 Paradigna Points

This time, Martin wasn't surprised. The creature was an anomaly, with agility on the verge of evolving.

When he wondered about its high price, Paradigna chimed in once more:

"This creature is a metallic life form. It's very rare."

Martin didn't ask any more questions. Instead, he started cooking some of the meat he had taken from the barn, his stomach rumbling.

It was his first meal in this new world, and he was starving. His points weren't enough for any of the creatures anyway.

As he ate, Paradigna informed him that the market's offerings would be randomly replaced each day.

He had one chance to lock in the current creatures, but doing so would prevent new random creatures from appearing until he unlocked it again.

Martin didn't answer immediately. He needed time to think, to decide if any of these creatures were worth locking in.

For now, he decided against it.

He would spend the next few days hunting in the area.

The more he killed, the stronger he would become.

He believed that with Paradigna, he could become a powerful figure in this strange world.

His immediate goal was to gather enough points within a week and try to get into the good graces of the incoming shapeshifter organization.

He valued his freedom, but the temporary security and knowledge offered by the organization were appealing.

He had no idea what the next day's market would bring, but he was patient.

After he finished his meal, he scattered the remaining meat around his house.

If the villagers came looking for him, they wouldn't find any evidence to blame him for the missing livestock. Martin was confident he wouldn't be caught.
