Chapter 7 - Chapter 4

The population of the estate has grown a lot since day 1 of the end of civilization. We went from 47 people to around 80 over the course of a few days with me bringing survivors in from the outside. There were a few issues but not really due to the infection, mostly to do with assholes wanting more or better things or amenities.

Everyone was allowed to take showers and shit and the beach was just outside. There were plenty of tents and sleeping bags but there is always that one person who wants everything.

That's the kind of person I like to call an example, because I was forced to make one out of him once he finally decided to draw a gun on me. Well technically I was going to be the one to make the example but he did it in front of Victoria and well... plans fail sometimes, she wasted his ass and showed why and how she was a competitive shooter, no need for a secondary headshot to stop him from rising again as the first one was sufficient.

I found that whole situation sadly amusing but that also made our relationship grow closer. I mean she put a bullet in a dude for me, even if I would have been able to handle it, gotta respect that.

Other than that it was fairly smooth, supplies obviously weren't going to last forever as we were bringing in more and more people.

I also had my beautiful super yacht go out the day that we seen the plane crash, I sent 8 volunteers to help the crew and also protect the ship. I showed several of them how to use the javelin missiles, they weren't really THAT difficult but I made sure they had it before they left.

It took them 3 days to return and some of them looked traumatized though physically fine. They found a group on a raft as well as a few people on an island not far from the wreckage. Most of the passengers were dead but overall there was 37 survivors. So while mentally drained from the excursion, they were quite proud of themselves.

With that done I could put more of my focus on looking for survivors that made it through the zombies as well as the soldiers that were actively killing people, it didn't always amount to much but by the end of the second week, our population had increased to almost 200 people. By this point we had to be more careful with who we brought back because people in general have seemed to lose their shit. I ended up using a lot of mind juju to make sure we didn't get anyone overly crazy.

The compound was obviously bursting with people by that point and was only going to get worse once we returned with the people from the military base, that would add another 100+ people to our count.

Thankfully quite a few of them know how to carry a rifle so that's good! Plus we finally have a doctor with her 6 nurses, all we had before today was an older nurse, good enough for simple things but nowhere near what Bethany could do.

Once we arrived at the front gate leading into the estate there were 12 people waiting inside the perimeter with rifles, thankfully my people so once I got off the bus they let our little convoy inside quickly

"how'd it go boss?" One of the girls chirped. Naomi I think her name was? Basically took charge of the people that would stay and protect the estate while the rest of us were gone.

"It went better than expected if I'm being honest, we also didn't lose anybody so that's always a win in my book." I told the cheerful girl happily. "More than 100 souls onboard." She looked excited at that as she was always the social butterfly it seems.

And with that everyone began offloading their belongings, if they had any in the first place. It's fine though, we raided plenty of of shops over the last two weeks so there should be something for everyone.

It seemed Victoria and Kimmie snatched up Alicia to go help them with grabbing supplies or worse, girl talk. 'Cringe!' Might have to send another group after them if they take forever. Nah, not even my problem.

It took me a minute but I gathered the rest of the new comers to let them know what we would be doing today. "Alright gents and ladies, take today to get cleaned up, there are portable showers walled off on the beach side of the estate since there were already so many of us. We will be packing up our supplies from here and going on my ships that are anchored a mile off shore." The dinghys would be traveling back and fourth all day carrying supplies and people to and fro.

With that taken care of there wasn't much for me to do. I was kinda kicking myself for simply sticking to these two ships, as nice as they are to have, I could have probably easily been hijacking ships since the beginning and adding it to my fleet. I was actually thinking of taking some naval ships but I simply wouldn't know what to do with them if I am being honest. I could have probably stolen some nice bulk carriers though or even a few more yachts though thankfully I never really stopped looting warehouses and military depos for supplies and weapons. I was kinda a greedy asshole I think because I took anything that I could fit in my storage space.
