Chapter 15 — The Forbidden Law: Devouring Gravity

The sky above Imperial Soul Academy had become unrecognizable.

The stars vanished behind a massive swirling singularity hanging over the battlefield like the eye of a god. Purple lightning spiraled endlessly around the growing black hole while gravity distorted everything beneath it.

Buildings slowly lifted into the air.

Trees ripped from the earth.

Even massive stone structures bent unnaturally toward the heavens.

Panic spread across every shelter inside the academy.

Students cried.

Instructors shouted orders desperately.

The barriers protecting the city groaned under impossible pressure.

And at the center of everything—

Varikon floated beneath the artificial black hole with his arms spread wide.

Purple gravity storms surrounded him like a king ascending his throne.

"Hahahahaha!!"

His monstrous laughter echoed across the continent.

"Witness true evolution!"

The black hole pulsed violently.

Entire sections of distant mountains suddenly collapsed upward into the sky, consumed instantly by darkness.

Several students screamed in horror.

"That thing is eating the mountains!"

"We're all going to die…"

Meanwhile, standing atop the ruined battlefield, Reskin stared upward with clenched fists while golden gravity symbols spiraled around his body.

His meridians burned painfully.

Every breath hurt.

But despite the pain—

His eyes remained steady.

Inside his soul world, Bali stood surrounded by ancient cosmic gravity currents.

The gigantic GOD-HORSIKEN looked unusually serious now.

"The technique I'm about to show you…"

Golden symbols floated around him slowly.

"…was forbidden even among divine gravity rulers."

Reskin focused immediately.

"Why?"

Bali's glowing eyes darkened slightly.

"Because Devouring Gravity consumes everything equally."

The soul space trembled softly.

"Enemy."

"Energy."

"Life."

"Even the user themselves."

Cold chills spread through Reskin instantly.

"So using it damages me too?"

"Yes."

Bali answered calmly.

"If your control fails…"

The ancient beast's enormous gaze locked onto him.

"…your own gravity core may collapse permanently."

Silence filled the soul world.

Then Reskin quietly asked—

"And if I don't use it?"

Reality answered for Bali.

Outside—

BOOOOOOOOM!!

The growing singularity expanded again.

Several academy barriers shattered completely.

Students screamed as gravity dragged entire structures toward the sky.

Varikon laughed louder.

"The weak should disappear!"

Inside the soul world, Reskin slowly clenched his fists.

"…Teach me."

Bali observed him silently for several seconds.

Then finally nodded.

Golden cosmic energy exploded across the soul world instantly.

"Listen carefully."

Ancient gravity laws began rotating around Reskin rapidly.

"Most gravity techniques manipulate external force."

The symbols glowed brighter.

"But Devouring Gravity…"

The cosmic world darkened suddenly.

"…creates internal collapse."

Reskin frowned slightly.

"I don't understand."

Bali raised one gigantic claw.

Instantly—

A small golden star appeared floating between them.

"This star possesses mass."

Then black gravity formed around it slowly.

"Ordinary gravity pulls from outside."

The star bent inward slightly.

"But Devouring Gravity…"

CRACK.

The star suddenly collapsed into itself.

Space twisted violently around it.

"…forces existence to consume itself from within."

Reskin's eyes widened.

"That's insane."

"Yes."

Bali sounded completely serious.

"That is why only GOD-HORSIKENS could survive learning it."

The ancient beast slowly lowered its massive head closer.

"And even among us…"

Golden energy pulsed heavily around them.

"…very few succeeded."

Outside the soul world—

Reality continued collapsing around the academy.

Varikon's singularity had grown large enough to swallow entire districts now.

Kaizen and the remaining instructors struggled desperately to stabilize evacuation barriers while Seraphina prepared another high-level attack.

Silver lightning exploded around her body violently.

But even she knew—

Destroying Varikon before the singularity stabilized completely was nearly impossible.

Then suddenly—

Golden gravity spread across the battlefield again.

Everyone turned instantly.

Reskin slowly floated upward into the storm-filled skies.

Blood dripped continuously from his damaged arms.

Yet his aura felt different now.

Heavier.

Deeper.

Even the air around him distorted unnaturally.

Varikon immediately noticed.

Its red eyes widened slightly.

"…Interesting."

Purple gravity storms intensified around the monster.

"That presence…"

Inside the shelters, Dugu stared upward nervously.

"What is he doing now…"

Nearby students looked terrified.

"Is he actually going to fight that monster again?!"

"He can barely stand!"

Meanwhile, high above the battlefield, Reskin stopped directly opposite Varikon.

The singularity loomed behind them like the end of the world.

Varikon slowly smiled.

"You continue resisting despite your weakness."

Purple lightning flashed across his monstrous body.

"I admire that."

Reskin answered calmly.

"You admire destruction."

"Hahahaha!"

Varikon spread his clawed arms wide.

"Destruction is necessary for evolution!"

Purple gravity exploded outward.

"The universe itself devours the weak every second!"

The black hole above pulsed violently again.

"Stars consume planets."

"Galaxies consume stars."

"Power consumes weakness."

Its red eyes gleamed with madness.

"That is reality!"

Reskin stayed silent briefly.

Then quietly answered—

"Maybe."

Varikon blinked slightly.

"But even if strength rules the world…"

Golden gravity currents spiraled around Reskin slowly.

"…that doesn't mean the strong should become monsters."

For a brief moment—

Varikon's smile faded.

Then rage twisted across its face.

"You sound exactly like Bali."

BOOOOOOM!!

The monster attacked instantly.

Purple gravity claws ripped through the skies toward Reskin at terrifying speed.

Reskin closed his eyes briefly.

Inside his mind—

Bali's voice echoed calmly.

"Feel the gravity inside your opponent."

Golden energy spread across Reskin's senses.

For the first time—

He could feel it.

Not external gravity.

Internal gravitational balance.

Everything possessed it.

The battlefield.

The storm.

Even Varikon himself.

All matter held invisible balance points within existence.

"Now," Bali whispered.

"Devour."

Reskin slowly opened his glowing golden eyes.

Then—

He reached forward.

The atmosphere changed instantly.

Silence spread unnaturally across the battlefield.

Even Varikon's attack slowed slightly.

Then suddenly—

Purple gravity around Varikon collapsed inward violently.

CRACK!!

The monster's right claw twisted unnaturally.

Varikon's eyes widened.

"What—?!"

Its own gravity had turned against itself.

Purple energy spiraled inward uncontrollably around the damaged limb.

The arm began collapsing from internal pressure.

Varikon immediately severed it himself.

BOOOOOOM!!

The detached limb exploded into nothingness before regeneration instability could spread further.

Students below stared upward in shock.

"He destroyed the monster's arm?!"

"What kind of technique was THAT?!"

Even Seraphina looked stunned.

Because she felt it clearly.

Reskin hadn't overpowered Varikon.

He corrupted the monster's own gravity balance.

Inside his mind, Bali sounded serious.

"Do not lose focus."

Reskin's vision blurred slightly.

Blood dripped from both eyes now.

Using Devouring Gravity felt unbelievably dangerous.

Like balancing on the edge of collapse itself.

Varikon slowly regenerated the lost arm while staring toward Reskin with growing obsession.

"…Beautiful."

Purple gravity storms intensified around him.

"So this is the divine law…"

The monster laughed softly.

"I was right all along."

Its red eyes glowed with madness.

"The power of gods belongs to those willing to transcend morality!"

BOOOOOOM!!

Varikon released massive gravity pulses across the battlefield.

This time even space itself distorted.

Dark cracks spread through the skies.

The singularity above began descending faster.

The academy barriers started collapsing entirely now.

Kaizen shouted desperately—

"We can't hold it much longer!"

Students panicked below as gravity dragged debris through the air violently.

Time was running out.

Inside his mind, Bali suddenly spoke sharply.

"He's forcing the singularity unstable."

"What does that mean?!"

"If the black hole collapses improperly…"

Even Bali sounded grim now.

"…this entire region may vanish permanently."

Cold fear spread through Reskin instantly.

Varikon no longer cared about survival.

He was ready to destroy everything.

The monster floated higher beneath the singularity while purple energy exploded wildly around his unstable body.

"If evolution requires sacrifice…"

Its monstrous voice echoed across the sky.

"…then let this world become fuel!"

The black hole trembled violently.

Reality itself began tearing apart around it.

Reskin's heartbeat accelerated.

He could feel it clearly now.

The singularity had become unstable beyond control.

Even Varikon couldn't fully contain it anymore.

Bali's voice echoed calmly one final time.

"There is only one option left."

Reskin already knew.

Devour the singularity itself.

His eyes widened slightly.

"That could kill me."

"Yes."

Silence.

Then Bali added quietly—

"But if successful…"

Golden gravity laws expanded around Reskin.

"…you may truly awaken as my successor."

Far below, Seraphina suddenly realized what Reskin intended.

Her expression changed immediately.

"No."

Silver lightning exploded around her as she launched upward desperately.

"RESKIN, DON'T—!"

But he was already moving.

Straight toward the descending black hole.

Alone.
