"What?! Kidnapped? Who on earth would dare kidnap you?!" Yu Qi's eyes widened in dramatic disbelief.
"I am not entirely sure yet. The official investigation is still underway." Tang Qin Hao shook his head. He then offered a faint smile, as if recalling a curious memory. "Don't you want to know how I escaped?"
"How?" Yu Qi asked, leaning forward with practised curiosity.
"Two kind-hearted strangers saved me." Tang Qin Hao explained. "Apparently, they happened to spot the criminals abducting me, trailed the getaway vehicle to their hideout, and pulled me out."
He paused, a look of genuine gratitude crossing his face. "I am really indebted to them."
Yu Qi lowered her gaze slightly to hide the amused gleam in her eyes before looking back up with an expression of deep relief.
