Typhus worked, bled, and survived before the integration. Doing whatever he could to keep his and his younger brother Sylas fed, clothed and housed. Without warning he gets uprooted to a reality he couldn't understand, with unnatural monsters, intricate class systems and evolutions that go past just what style of xp farming a person prefers, and deeply into who the person is and what they could become. Mentors watch over the newly integrated with the price being another chance at life within the multiverse so long as both mentor and tribe live through the tutorial, introducing a combination of old and new ideas coming to points of conflict. Some mentors champion peace through communication, some command allegiance through strength, most just want to wait out the tutorial in order to secure their own resurrections. Magic cannot be metricized no matter how hard the system tries, and perhaps now it is finally pushing back from the cage. The Lich of the Wastes return is more than just the personification of death getting a chance to return, their returns signals a much deeper prophecy coming to a head. Progression is survival and survival is unforgiving, nature plays by immutable rules, but undeath doesn't.
