Mysticism, magic, sorcerers, and witches. These are the labels humanity once bestowed upon things that defied logic, explanations crafted to soothe the mind in the face of the unknown. As humanity advanced, what was once called "magic" was cast aside by history, replaced by the rigid lens of science. Yet, in the shadows of the world, beyond the reach of ordinary perception, magic and those who wield it truly exist, silently standing as the unseen protectors of mankind. Mythology is not mere fiction, gods once walked the earth, bestowing upon humanity the forbidden knowledge that birthed magic. This was the Age of Gods. As civilization progressed, this knowledge was refined and simplified, allowing even ordinary mages to harness its power, a period known as the Middle Age. But human nature remains unchanged. Great wars ravaged every major era of history, and the mass sacrifice of mages nearly brought magic to a permanent end. To ensure survival, the High Mages of that time established the Magic Council, enacting laws to govern sorcerers and witches, and forging a fragile peace within the mystical realm. In the wake of this stability, Great Academies rose to train the next generation of protectors. But history’s lessons were soon forgotten. A faction of pure-blood mages, fueled by contempt for humanity, united to form an organization rivaling the Council. Their insurrection led to a catastrophic war, ended only when the world’s last Grand Sage sacrificed the full power of the Sorcerer’s Stone to turn back time, vanishing into eternity alongside the leader of the Dark Magic society. This ultimate sacrifice bought a brief, fleeting peace. Now, the "Reapers" of Dark Magic have scattered into the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment to dismantle the Council. This story begins 70 years after that war. On the surface, the world has returned to its proper course. But is it truly the peace it seems? No one can say for sure. (Um....
