Beyond The Screen: Aarav's Truth

Aarav stared at the screen until his eyes began to burn. The message didn’t change— “I think it’s better if we stop this.” That was it. No reason. No fight. No closure. Just a quiet sentence that somehow felt louder than everything they had ever said to each other. His fingers hovered over the keyboard, typing, deleting, typing again—nothing felt right. Because nothing could fix what had already ended. He scrolled up, reading old messages that now felt like they belonged to strangers— “I miss you.” “Stay.” “Don’t go.” A hollow laugh escaped him. Funny how words could mean everything one day… and nothing the next. He locked the phone, but the silence didn’t leave. It settled in, heavy and unmoving, pressing against his chest. “It’s fine,” he whispered. It wasn’t. And deep down, he knew— some endings don’t break you all at once… they leave you there, slowly realizing you’ve already fallen apart.
