A young man named Qingren wakes in a dark, cavernous room, chained to a wall with three strangers: an ancient wise man called Jeffrey, a volatile red-haired man named Herry, and a sickly child named Xiwu. A smiling, devil-like figure named Gu forces them to complete a series of tasks. The first: unanimously decide whether to kill a sewn-mouth child murderer or an innocent cat. The second: a mock trial where Qingren faces three judges. But the true story is not the plot — it is Qingren's internal monologue. He reveals that the real enemy is not Gu, but human desire itself. His goal: absolute freedom through the sacrifice of all wanting. The story alternates between survival pressure and raw philosophical reflection, asking uncomfortable questions about judgment, morality, and whether good and bad are just illusions.
