The Name We Carve: Fading Mist, Rising Shadow

Hugh_Oatfield
Jake is a thief. He survives by reading people, bending rules, and staying one step ahead. He never believed in magic. Until the day he steals a relic from the College of Magic, and it bonds with him. Dragged into a hidden realm of living mist where emotion shapes reality and power comes at a cost, Jake is forced into a world of hunters, relics, and ancient forces that refuse to stay buried. Talent alone won’t save him. Every mistake leaves a mark. And Jake is not the only one touched by the mist. Across factions, some wields its power, while others fight to contain it: apprentices tested beyond their limits, hunters bound to shadow beasts, leaders chasing control at any cost. Their choices will collide, and no path remains untouched. The Name We Carve is a multi-POV epic progression fantasy where growth is earned, power has consequences, and even a single decision can fracture the world.
