In the first volume of The Black Order, we follow the origins of Darfredon, a fallen angel who left Heaven after feeling abandoned by God, in the aftermath of the great war between Heaven and Hell.
After his fall, Darfredon suffers a second downfall: stripped of all his powers, he who was once a superior being becomes trapped in a mortal condition. Captured and reduced to slavery, he is forced to fight in the gladiator arena.
From that day forward, Darfredon no longer fights for glory or survival, but for one single reason: to face the one who stole all of his power.
