Genshin Impact: The Inverted Ideals

Disclaimer: There are many characters who are OOC as I'm basically rewriting a lot of Teyvat's history. Some characters may not exist due to this restructuring of this story; there are a few original characters as well. The power system was restructured a bit as well, with the addition of 'Ideals' which will affect the story. Some characters may be the same, whereas others may be vastly different; some could also become antagonists as well. There is some original content as well, to which I have taken liberties because Genshin Impact isn't finished at this point. --- Elara Vance is a physicist from a dying world. Her reality is forgetting itself—light, sound, gravity failing at random. She has twenty-three days to live. When a tear opens in the sky, she falls through. Not to survive. To matter. She lands in Teyvat, where seven gods rule over seven nations. Each god embodies an Ideal—Freedom, Contracts, Eternity, Wisdom, Justice, War, Love. These Ideals are not just their beliefs or will. It is by how they exert themselves onto reality. Five hundred years ago, the Cataclysm shattered them. The gods broke. Their Ideals twisted. Now Mondstadt's freedom means no one is allowed to be sad. Liyue's contracts collapse spacetime around broken promises. Inazuma is frozen in time, a dead sister preserved in a god's arms. Knowledge is hoarded in Sumeru. Justice is performance in Fontaine. War has no purpose in Natlan. And in Snezhnaya, love means becoming part of the Tsaritsa's dollhouse. Elara is the Fourth Descender, a consciousness from outside Teyvat's system. The Ideals cannot touch her. She is a blank page in a world that has been writing the same story for five hundred years. Guided by Dainsleif, the last survivor of fallen Khaenri'ah, she will walk through each nation and question the gods.
