After quitting his day job at his local supermarket as a stock boy, the sixteen-year-old young man, Andrew Wart decided to try something different Andrew was stressed working at the grocery store. He wanted a change. He knew he wasn’t really good for anything else other than losing his job. When a mysterious notebook gets delivered in the mail one Friday afternoon in the middle of summer vacation, Andrew realized there was no one addressed to the package the blank notebook was sent to him.
Andrew remembered he used to be good at writing and crafting scary stories when he was a little kid. Every time Andrew would get an inspiration forming in his imagination, Andrew would write down his thoughts in the notebook. It seemed like nothing unordinary would happen. Andrew wanted to form a book club to share his scary story ideas with some friends he knew at school.
So, Andrew Wart formed a private book club meeting in the school library after school for two hours, studying storycraft. While using his new notebook. Something about being in the book club made Andrew feel like he was about something better. Soon, the stories start to get fun and more creative with his book club friends.
Unexpectedly, the librarian tossed them out one evening for becoming too loud in the library for sharing their scary story submissions with the book club meeting. The mean-spirited librarian discovered Andrew had some kind of secret writing tool in his hands. So, before kicking them out of the library, the ugly old librarian put some kind of curse on the notebook.
Not knowing anything suspicious about what the librarian was doing, at home at night, before going to bed, Andrew would jot down some scenes in the notebook. Then, before going to bed, the notebook would start to make things happen to Andrew in his dreams. His scary story of creative writing with his book club meetings would get inside his dreams at night.
Can Andrew prevent a nightmare creature from stealing his cursed notebook, before getting the chance to erase Andrew from his talent? Or will Andrew finish the next story from his last story submission with his book club meeting, his final words come to life?
