The Non-Human Family in the Apocalypse

FereliX25
When we think about the end of the world these days, we usually think of some idiot in politics who doesn't really care about people and most likely has serious problems in his head, and simply presses the apocalypse button, and people are forced to live the next few years as diggers in the ruins of the world until things return to "normal" several generations later. Or the fierce result of climate change that causes irreparable natural disasters to humans and a new pandemic occurs like the one in 2020-2022 and, once again, we are back to being diggers. Or an unforeseen meteor that comes towards Earth before any government can do anything and gives us the same end as the dinosaurs, even if one part could still be saved by spending a lot of money and the other part would be left to the “lucky ones” to fend for themselves and go back to the diggers until things “return to normal” (maybe in this case, it would be faster than before but it would still take a long time). And finally, we have the astronomically small chances that it could be a combination of all this together with the release of a zombie virus that some idiot tested to maybe cure diseases, achieve immortality or just for the hell of it. The fact is, virtually no one expects the end of the world to come in the form of a fantasy Armageddon. Where some entity allows mana to enter the world and this opens portals through which fantasy monsters begin to appear, destroying and devouring everything they see in front of them. There are even RPG-style systems with missions, even if this would cause some humans to change irreversibly. But well, I've already talked a lot and look, I still have to finish my daily missions in addition to helping my father with the generator and going hunting for something to eat. Maybe I can catch an orc and see if their blood is as inedible as that of a goblin (it looks like semi-cured meat with raw eggs and liquefied fish oil). Sometimes I wish I had become a pixie like my sister. Oh, I almost forgot to introduce myself, nice to meet you, my name is Fernando or just Fer or Nando, and I'm not human. Well, I'm not anymore, at least not me, nor my family to tell the truth, now I'm a 22-year-old Dhampir with some cool skills, and as for my family... you'll meet them in a little while.

LEGION ACADEMY: ARC I

LEGION ACADEMY: ARC I In a world where Energy, magic, swordsmanship, and supernatural abilities determine a person’s place in society, becoming a warrior of the Legion is the dream of many—but only the strongest survive the path. Mason Grace, a 15-year-old boy born into a poor village, has never had the advantages of the nobles and prodigies around him. But after years of brutal training under his father, Mason earns the chance to enter the prestigious Legion Academy, an institution where young warriors are trained to become the protectors of kingdoms and cities. Mason quickly discovers that the Academy is far more dangerous than he imagined. Powerful students compete for rank. Ancient abilities awaken. Rivalries turn into battles. And beyond the Academy walls, demons, bandits, mysterious warriors, and forces far beyond human understanding are beginning to move. But Mason carries a secret even he doesn’t fully understand. Something ancient lives within him. An unknown power capable of nullifying both physical and spiritual energy—a force that should not exist in the world. As Mason climbs the ranks, he will be forced to confront enemies stronger than himself, uncover the truth behind his strange power, and decide what kind of warrior he wants to become. Because Mason’s journey isn’t simply about becoming the strongest student at Legion Academy. It’s about becoming strong enough to protect the world that has never protected him. And one day, Mason Grace intends to stand at the highest rank of them all. The Great Elder.
